Couperwife
wow, that looks fab I love the eglus on the mezzanine (sp?) level, so your garden is in a better state than ours , ours looks like a bomb site im glad its not just our girls that like sitting on a bench, I was watching them one day when they were all lined up on the bench, then they all decided to jump off at the same time, so the bench fell over, when I came down to put it back again, they all scarpered and blamed each other cathy x
Egluntyne
Fantastic. I love the ladders and the mezzanine. I like the light at the entrance too! Congratulations.
chelsea
thanks! They also have a light in the run. Battery operated with drawstring pull located in the middle of the run. Hubby thought they (the chooks) would like it for more light during these darker nights!! yes - he pampers them more than me!

Carol U
Fabulous! It all looks so incredibly well kept and elegant. Why isn't your seat covered in big splats as ours is? I love the mezzanine level. Well done.

Ain't Nobody Here
That's fab . I showed my boys and they both insisted we get one like that - then showed OH and he said "we've just got them for eggs". philistine * sighs, I wish we had a bigger garden & I'd build it myself *

Luthien
Oh Yes! please put some photos up they are like big balls of feathers they look so lovely! I think the run is amazing, just wish either my mum and I were handy with tools or that we had OH's as well , we need to go hunting for a handy, chicken loveing (with huge gardens) guy . But I think my lot of animals would scare anyone away esp my mums neurotic white toy poodle! (which I can't stand). If I can ask this without sounding nosy how long did it take to make Alix (Hopefully soon to be Chicken Mummy)
little chickadee
Brilliant!!!! I'm so impressed with the latest crop of new runs. I didn't marry the practical type though and can't do stuff like that myself for toffee! Any ladies out there who have made their own runs ? chelsea
If I can ask this without sounding nosy how long did it take to make the run mesh panels were pre made aviary panels bought from a garden centre, the run is 12x6 feet and hubby first laid a brick rectangular base and then erected the panels around the outside, followed by the perspex roof and some finishing touches, all in all a good 2/3 days work. hilda-and-evadne
Any ladies out there who have made their own runs ? Inspired by toastedblue, I'm building mine, starting with several 1.8m x 75mm x 75mm fence posts stuck into metpost bases, and will post photos when it is finished. Aubiose should arrive tomorrow. Hens arrive 23 February. ':)'
