Ain't Nobody Here
Heard a snippet on the radio the other day about millions of people the world over being addicted to social networking sites (like Facebook & forums), spending up to 6 hours a day online and having withdrawals if they didn't log on every single day. Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous? Who are these people? (Tried to find the story online but failed.)

Eyren
I dunno - some people need to get a life Now, if they were only to get themselves some chickens, they'd be too busy enjoying the Good Life to spend hours on some silly forum... Egluntyne
Can't imagine. They certainly need to get out more. They need a scrubbing brush in their hands and a garden to tend. I never log on for a solid 6 hours. And get this......some people have more than one forum to keep up with!!

Janty
What possible interest could a forum be to anybody?
jomaxsmith
We had a powercut on Friday evening that knocked out our Virgin Broadband for 24 hours. It was horrible! Hubby and I had to talk to each other, the kids couldn't get on cBeebies and, most notably, we sold some furniture BIN on eBay and the buyer assumed we'd gone away on holiday because we didn't email them immediately!! Most of my online time is definitely fora (this and another parenting themed one) rather than for information purposes. Jo
Guest
I've never heard of anything so silly. People who spend hours online should get a life. Get out in their gardens and enjoy the environment.
jomaxsmith
People who spend hours online should get a life. Get out in their gardens and enjoy the environment. Well that's killed the discussion, Pengy - none of us wants to admit to being saddo nerds who spend all our time online getting a Vitamin D deficiency! Actually, no - I'll admit I'm online more than I should be BUT when the evenings get lighter I promise I'll be outside tending my plants (the bits that the chickens haven't destroyed!). Until then I'm staying firmly slumped in front of the PC or the TV Jo

Ain't Nobody Here
Next we'll be hearing about people who buy high stools for their kitchens especially so they can use their laptops whilst watching their chickens freeranging . Whatever next .
