Forum addiction

Recommended Posts

Heard a snippet on the radio the other day about millions of people the world over being addicted to social networking sites (like Facebook & forums), spending up to 6 hours a day online and having withdrawals if they didn't log on every single day.

Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous? Who are these people?

:roll::oops::lol:

(Tried to find the story online but failed.)

We had a powercut on Friday evening that knocked out our Virgin Broadband for 24 hours. It was horrible! Hubby and I had to talk to each other, the kids couldn't get on cBeebies and, most notably, we sold some furniture BIN on eBay and the buyer assumed we'd gone away on holiday because we didn't email them immediately!!

Most of my online time is definitely fora (this and another parenting themed one) rather than for information purposes.

People who spend hours online should get a life. Get out in their gardens and enjoy the environment.

Well that's killed the discussion, Pengy :lol: - none of us wants to admit to being saddo nerds who spend all our time online getting a Vitamin D deficiency!

Actually, no - I'll admit I'm online more than I should be BUT when the evenings get lighter I promise I'll be outside tending my plants (the bits that the chickens haven't destroyed!). Until then I'm staying firmly slumped in front of the PC or the TV :anxious:
