Mrs Frugal
Mine started off as lady TV cooks - Clarissa and Jennifer. Isabella (Beeton) continued the cookery theme but we ran out of steam so the Sussex Girls are all Greek Goddesses. Coffee earned her name from the "Chicken of Fate" tag she picked up after arriving on our doorstep a few weeks ago .
chelsea
Our 1st original chooks were called SAM & ELLA Friends and family always found it amusing on birthday cards, etc. Sadly Sam died last year leaving Ella, she's top chook now. superjules
We went for a flower theme, although before we got ours they had some unusual names given to them by their previous owners, one of them was named after a biblical queen, Amestris. They had temporary names given to them by the children when they first arrived, Flappy and Chickadee, but the kids kept changing their minds so they didn't stick. The dog breeder where we got our Springer from has given her dogs similar names to Cinnamons chickens, Bracken, Fern and Heather. When she's choosing the ridiculous pedigree names she always follows a different theme for each litter, but then the dogs are never going to be known by those names, so it's not that important I guess! Chicken Licken
I have F and C - my OH wanted K, F and C - so Fenny and Clara will one day be joined by K. Every chicken that ends up in the fridge is currenlty known as cousin K!
