Eyren
Eyren, You could have popped in for a cuppa if I had known you were in the area in the Summer. We have family living near Cambridge, we haven't visited them there for years. It is such a long way to travel. Small world, eh? Well, we may be up there again some time, and I would love to see your bantams. If I had my way we would move up to Scotland as soon as we could get our present house into saleable condition, as I'm desperate for a bigger garden and we simply can't afford one down here - but there's the tiny problem of our both needing to work in order to pay the mortgage and other bills (even allowing for cheaper house prices) A move to Fife might be feasible (it would be much easier for me to get a biology-related job in St Andrews, Dundee or Edinburgh than Aberdeen), but we'll have to see... Mirkwood
we have fixed the chicken run now, my poor quail they have no run what so ever now until the new ark comes on tuesday so they are locked in their hutch! It was windy here again this morning but nothing like Fri/Sat we had to shout to each other, while rescuing the quail at 02.30am, to be heard. The quails hutch goes into the summer house at night until the new ark arrives they have been through enough!!!!!
Egluntyne
Sounds like a logistical nightmare.

The Dogmother
You poor guys - I hear that we're all going to get a sprinkling of snow over the next few days Friday night was madness here with a couple of power blips and being woken up by my poor old house creaking and groaning, and someones wheelie bin bowling down the street My house is fine, but one at the end of the road had to call out the fire brigade with their enormous cherry-picker - their tall digital aerial had wonked around so much in the wind that it had loosened all the masonry in their chimney stack, which had fallen through the roof Those houses are newer than mine (which is 1897), but don't seem to be as solid. Egluntyne
I noticed this aft that the felt of my neighbour's shed is ripped and flapping about like a banner. They are on holiday and I haven't a clue how to contact them. Might hop over the fence with a few drawing pins.
