Carol U
At long last, and after much blood, sweat and tears, we have finished our new run! We'd like to thank all the Omleteers who helped us with everything from basic design, through what gauge of weldmesh to use, to how to attach the eglu. We couldn't have done it without you. Many thanks to you all. See here

Tessa the Duchess
Lovely run. Well done, love the colour. I think you started your run about the same time we started ours, I remember us asking the same questions about weldmesh etc., and now yours is finished The thing that is taking the time is digging and leveling the ground I am sure your girls will be very happy in their new home Tessa

It took longer to do that than all the rest put together! We're still trying to get rid of the surplus soil.

MrandMrsG
Wow, what a fabulous run and the colour is super. We're thinking of building something like that for our chooks - I shall have to show Mr G the photo to inspire him and spur him into action - (in my dreams me thinks! )

Jane 20
Run looks fantastic - OH is building one we hope will look as good! Ours will be the same size with an eglu outside. At the moment we have 2 girls -and are hoping to get three more but are a bit worried as four is listed s the maximum for an eglu. Are all your girls OK in the eglu?
Egluntyne
Welcome to the forum Jane. You will get a couple more into the Eglu for roosting purposes, If you look in at night they will all be piled up on top of eachother! However, they do say one nest box per 4 hens. If you have a walk in run and can fix up another nest box, you could comfortably have three more in the Eglu.
Jane 20
Thank you so we (OH) just need to build something thay can lay their eggs in and we will be OK. At the moment ours seem to sleep in the nesting box and so there is plently of room in the eglu. They will have a 12' x 6' run and some free ranging at weekends. Can't wait to get more girls. We are hoping to get a skyline an amber star and one other...any suggestions?
