BeckyBoo
Hi there, can chooks have the seeds from the squash I've just chopped up? I know they LOVE melon seeds but wasn't sure about squash seeds - I've kept some to grow but there's loads left. And is raw OK or should I cook them somehow? BeckyBoo
Excellent! Thanks Martin, just off for wellies, coat, scarf, no point in taking a brolly - I'd be off like Mary Poppins, then I'll go and deliver the seeds Mrs B
jomaxsmith
I had a quarter of a squash left over the other day and just put it all in the run. On the first day they just ate the seeds but now all that's left is the skin (which will stay there until i can be bothered to get the rake and retrieve it!) chocchick
I've read that pumpkin seeds are good for treating worms as a natural remedy. You would follow up the next day with carrot (skin) peelings.
