Yes, Gooner Boy is my 'little' brother! My DH was called 'gooner boy' on the quiz but he never did the quiz so Tom took over his title and posts on here (well - the footy thread) under it to.

 

Aha, so there are 2 Gooner boys. Glad I wasn't getting confused about your OH posting originally, the memory does go a bit at my age (I'm even older than Phil, can you imagine that?)

I like the way that you claim you've zoomed in closer, whereas actually you've just cropped the photo haven't you? Lies, lies, lies... What else can we expect from a Bolton fan though eh?

 

Sorry Chelsea - I was rooting for you guys in the shootout last night (was out so missed all of the match bar most of extra time). Partly because I wanted to see Cristiano cry (which he did anyway) but also because, Cashley aside, I don't have a problem with any Chelsea players. And I'd have loved to have seen Avram Grant do the one thing that the Special One couldn't. Still, bad luck - you deserved to win something this season.

 

Helen - I'm gonna get my game face on tonight. You'd better hope you're on my side because I won't be taking any prisoners...

Still, hopefully now he's accomplished everything he can with Man U, he'll head off to Spain to become just another overpaid superstar sitting on the bench at Real Madrid.

Police clashed with about 200 football fans in west London after Chelsea's defeat in the Champions League final.

 

One man suffered leg injuries after being hit by a car in Fulham Broadway. A motorist has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and dangerous driving.

 

Five officers suffered minor injuries as fans threw bottles at police near Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium, after Manchester United took the title.

 

A total of 12 people have been arrested on suspicion of public order offences.

yeah - poor old JT - he gobbed on Tevez (deliberately) after Didier (I'll appeal every time against the g-k decision when i clearly blazed it wide) Drogba got sent off......

 

two highlights in the game...

 

(not the real)Ronaldo fannying about playing the poncy- "Ooops, word censored!" with his penalty and having it saved - then standing there for ages thinking he'd blown it for the whole team..

 

and...

 

all to prolonged footage of John (national hero) Terry blubbing his eyes out like a big girl's blouse..

 

oh..

 

and Nic Anelka - bought by Chelsea off us when we could have used him much better - with the express desire to boost the squad for the Chumps league - and then only scoring 2 goals for them - and (effectively) knocking them out at the final hurdle!!

 

bitter?? me??? nahhh.... never!!!! NURSE!!

Aww, thanks everyone for the kind wishes and sympathy. I could have really done with Chelsea winning last night :cry::cry: its been a bad 2 weeks for me.

 

And we dont even have european football this summer to look forward too!! :(

Ah, Boycs is hilarious to listen to. I remember one time when he was commentating on Channel 4 with Dermot Reeve and the two got into a full blown argument about something or ever which concluded with Boycott saying "What do you know about it Dermot, you only played in 3 tests!"

 

It all went quiet after that, and then Dermot piped up with "Er, the producer has told us to move on from that subject now..."

 

Classic.

 

England are playing terribly, by the way. But Kent look like they might squeak a 1 wicket victory over Somerset, so it's squeaky bum time at the moment for me.
