Roomba owners - must have???

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Been trying to stay out of this link as we have owned and sold Roombas for about 4 years now. All I can say is the new 530 and 560 are MUCH better than any of the previous Roomba incarnations. Many of the problems with Roomba taking dirt inside itself have been rectified and it is more powerful now.

We have had Scoobas and they have not been very sucessful, sadly as it is a fab idea.

Angela

angela, sorry to be cheeky, but clearly I;m going to be anyway: could you tell me the diameter and height of the 530 and 560 please. I haven't been able to find that info on any of the websites.

Hi

Ok I have measured my Roomba it is a 560, I don't have the 530 here so I will check at work but I think they are the same size !!

Diameter 13" or about 33.5cm, height, is 3" or 8cm, but it does have a sticky up bit on top that takes the true height to about 9.5 cm. Mine happily goes under coffee tables and computer desks, but not the sofa!

We do sell all the spares for Roomba but as we get them from DOMOTEC who are the UK distributors we sometimes have supply issues. "Ooops, word censored!"ody in the UK has received their filters yet, which is a pity as it does make Roomba work better! We had a delivery of spinning side brushes last week, but will have to check tomorrow and get back to you if there are any left. (have to admit to nabbing some for myself ahem).

As for Sccoba we have had two now one from Irobot and one from Domotec and the floor was wetter and dirtier after it had "cleaned" and they only ran for about 15 mins so never finished a room. They are not for sale in the UK yet officially, any you buy will be grey imports.

Hope this helps!!

Angela

What do you all do now, with the extra time you've all acquired by having a roomba? Or is that a daft question? I suppose it gives more time for watching the chooks? Hmmm

Hubby's latest want is a rechargable black & decker alligator saw  I bet they sell roombas at b&q too. :shh: I'm not a one for housework - I think it's pants - ironing..yes, hoovering & dusting - ugh!

We just need Snowy to rustle up a chicken roomba cover on her sewing machine & we'd all want one!

:D
