Roomba owners - must have???

Recommended Posts

I think the 530 and the 560 are very recent.

Yes, I've just discovered you can get the Roomba 2 on a two week trial and send it back if you're not happy with it. The 530 is a bit newer, and is the one availabe in places like Lakeland and John Lewis (use Quidco for cash back on both of those).

The 560 is being shipped in April.

The 530 and 560 are not available on the two week trial basis (well, not yet anyway.)

Just off to see whether the "improvements" are of any use to me....

Hi Guys

Been trying to stay out of this link as we have owned and sold Roombas for about 4 years now. All I can say is the new 530 and 560 are MUCH better than any of the previous Roomba incarnations. Many of the problems with Roomba taking dirt inside itself have been rectified and it is more powerful now.

We have had Scoobas and they have not been very sucessful, sadly as it is a fab idea.

I think OH will be amused, but not rush out to buy one as it's not "manly"

I like the penguin one.

I noticed something about bluetooth next to the site and found http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2006/02/how_to_roomba_bluetooth_interf.html

I've got a feeling OH will start controlling it with a mobile or something now. :(

Uh ohh, boys and their toys - he'll be happy for ages Choccy!

Angela does your company do spare brushes and filters for the 530 :?

Mine isn't picking up too well and I think I need to change the filter and they are only supplied with one spare and as yet I have not found a UK company online that does the spares

Given I have only had it a couple of months it looks like I am going to get through alot of spares

I really must shave the cats :twisted::twisted:
