Jules.
Lovely Just a point- are you storing them pointy end upwards on the photo? They should be pointy end down They keep better that way ( not that they last long anyway......)
superjules
Wonderful - I can only hope that Yoda and Yaddle's eggs are as impressive when they get round to laying, but that won't be for a while yet! How old is Bumble?
Mrs Webmuppet
She was point of lay when we bought her Mid February so she must be around 24 weeks. The bantams have shown no sign of laying yet but their combs are pretty small still. I didn't know that eggs were supposed to be stored pointy end down........just been and turned them over ........not that they will be around for long Little Miss Webmuppet has plans to turn them into cake! Mrs Webmuppet
We now have 4 blue eggs ............collected the 4th one this morning at it was still warm! Wasn't too impressed that it was the far side of the coop and I had to kneel down and reach through the nest box to get it ........whilst it was snowing! In case you wondered what Little Miss Webmuppet has decided to cook with the eggs - she has decided that when we have the grand total of 6 she will make Nigella's Almond Cake ( a rather impressive donut style cake served the raspberries and ice cream!)
