Dr Who

Recommended Posts

At the beginning of last Sat's episode, there was a strange focus on the hand in a jar. AT the end when DT is starting to regenerate, Rose is standing near the jar, moaning that she's only just found him again. I think she's going to throw the hand at him whilst he regenrates which will mean he regenerates as himself, DNA and all that.

Whaddya think, plausible theory?

thats what I have been reading on other forums all week :wink:

Unfortunately our chicken Rose died this week - hope that isn't an omen (has anyone else noticed that Billie Piper seems to have lost the power of clear speech since moving to Lyra's Oxford)..?

Her teeth looked totally different from how she used to look - but by the end of last week she looked "normal" again. Maybe she had some work doen on her teeth and it dependeds on what order the scenes were shot - she was certainly a lot clearer at the end of last week........ :?

Reading this I am chuckling...

My tip is.. its a double bluff...

I`m wondering just how many recorders will be working overtime tomorrow night..how many phones will not get answered at 6.40? what rude comments will be made to those calling.. will any babies be born...? L

I think they are estimating around 10 million viewers.. !

Dr Who has been as always, brilliant again.. Russel has pulled out some fantastic numbers this year and will be handing over the baton to Steven who we know will have some big shoes to fill.., oh and for those that dont know its a tad longer, so do check your recording stuff!!!

Next year there will only be four specials, collaboration with the two of them writing of course... however a proper series starts back in 2010...eek..re runs for all till then...

I'm going to miss the "live" show tonight- we have a production of " Colby" at church that starts at 7 & Alexander is a main part. Eeek!

I will watch on i-player as soon as I get home.

I was wondering whether the 1 second time difference that has happened when the earth was stolen had anything to do with saving the Doctor from having to regenerate, & so he will stay as he is?

I like the hand theories!

Aaah but my theory is that there will be a female Dr Who soon

That's what they've been saying since I was a child - Joanna Lumley was always favourite. It never happened.

I reckon Alex Kingston would make a great Doctor, even though she has been in it already.

She could have a sucession of lovely young male assistants..................

A female doctor Who?????? :shock::shock::shock::shock:

No way!!! How could I possibly fancy a female doctor Who????? (I have a soft spot for David Tennant, even though I swore when Christopher Eccleston left that no doctor could ever possibly be as good... I changed my mind within 1 and a half episode of Mr Tennant)... a female dr Who  Dont they dare!!

Im with you Ziggy. Its not happening soon anyway is it with all these other episodes already filmed. I too think its to do witht he hand

I wrote this on another site, my random mutterings

I've already said Donna "Ooops, word censored!"le means "Ooops, word censored!"le lord. She kept saying I'm a temp or I'm just a temp in the last couple of episodes. Temp is latin for time

her heat beating- drums anyone?

The hand. They keep showing shots of it, it must be relevent to his regeneration

and who picked up the ring? could it have been donna though I cant picture her with red nails, her mother?

Rani coming back?

I thought it was Lucy the Master's wife who picked up the ring?

I do wish I had studied Latin, Bronze you are so full of fantastic information.

In the episode with the "beetle" didn't the fortune teller lady say that Donna was more than an ordinary person, or something like that?

Just back from the Royal, what a day, have a cute piccy of James.... (omlet)

So back to work..reads the posts...

Ahh.Daniel, .you know in this life I find that be it on forums or face to face implied sarcasm be it slight or otherwise rarely succeeds, save to make others that read it day in and day out uncomfortable.

Perhaps my *Double bluff* comment may make up for my appaling shortcomings! ..as one never knows whose at the end of a name on a forum, or perhaps what they do.

Well..... sorry if it's childish.... sorry if "Ooops, word censored!"ody else wanted this.... but.... but.... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

He is still here... Oh gosh is he lovely....

Can I be the next Donna please... ????

To be honest I found this to be weak story telling... lots of lovely seeing people back again, loved that... I'm a new (though old) generation dr Who, so this was soooooooooooo lovely, but yes the story could have been more 'hanging of your seat'.... bit disappointed with the story, but so pleased with the DR......

Oh.... sorry, by the way...... who on earth is Rani?????????????????

It was only a manicured hand with red nails that we saw pick up the ring- Lucy had hands like that in the last episode last year.

I've not yet watched this last episode- i-player isn't working

I've read stuff last night on the BBC site ( I know, cheating) so I have a good idea what happens.

(Karen) I was just coming back to say Donna was definitely wearing an overly sparkly ring at the end. Afterall what happened to it after the master and Lucy? Glad it wasn't just me who notced it. I smetimes wonder if I read too much into things

I picked up on the ring as well  Do you think Dervla Kirwan may just be the Christmas assistant like Kylie was last year? Thought it was great - loved the Daleks speaking german and having everyone back ( Dalek Kaan was a goodie after all!) but was a little disappointed with the tying up of threads at the end which took so long. Never did like Rose much but I guess if her universe is sealed off for ever we may not see her back? All in all I thought it was a good end to the series. Can I wait until Christmas now?

We thought it was a brilliant episode too, even though our sky plus kept failing ( we recorded it so could watch it in peace after the little ones had gone to bed!) so ened up watching it on the lap top!!

Is this the very last series? heard that they wernt making any more? ... cant wait for torchwood and the christmas Dr who special!!

there is no proper series next year - just 4 specials which David Tennant is doing. Russell T Daviesis still in charge of those. Then for 2010 it's a full length series 5 under Steven Moffats charge. No news yet on who will be the doctor then though as it is a while off yet.
