4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Ruby's new hobby is....trying to climb on top of the glug.

 

Does anyone elses chicken do this? Does anyone know why she could be doing it? She seems obsessed with it and even though it doesn't seem to do her any harm, I would rather she didn't - any tips how to stop her?.

None I'm afraid. Mine all do it.

 

They even wash their feet in it.

Mine do it too, sometimes they poo in it One of mine also rubs her back on the bottom of the Grub, maybe she's got an itch?

Mine jump on top as well, generally whilst I am opening the run door - trying to be first out. I guess they just don't listen when you tell them to stop jumping on the furniture either?

Mine seem to jump on the glub alot too, fine by me if they don't mind it!

 

They have also knocked off their grub before, I have two and one was empty so they knocked it off to tell me! Clever chooks!

Mine will have nothing to do with the superglug and will go thristy rather than drink from it even if i lower it so they can drink from the top.

 

They love to sit on the cube wheels though

One of ours walks underneath it, quite alot throughout the day and sometimes knocks it on the run floor!!
