cluckbok
Hello everyone, I have placed a webcam in the Eglu and put up a website so you can all take a peek at our chooks going about their daily routine. the address is www.chookcam.co.uk or you can click the link below in the signature. You can log in and see the actual live feed by using the username and password below. Username: omlet Password: eglu I only put the username and password in place to allow me to stop people accessing it if I need to in the future. I must have too much time on my hands! enjoy! cluckbok
Cool, your grass looks nice, have you had them on that patch long? sarah.x Hi Keanie Bean, We have had the chooks for about 6-8 weeks on that same area. We use hemcore and refresh after 4 weeks or earlier if needed. They get to free range for an hour or so each evening and a good 3-4 hours in the afternoons on the weekend. Grass and plants seem to be coping well. Glad everyones enjoying the chooks on the webcam.

chelsea
very What a coincidence! we are going to get CCTV cameras to put inside our cube and homemade run today. We can then see our girls on the telly when we are indoors!

Pookylover
Does the webcam make a noise at all?? I know some of them do and I have popped on and had another look at your girls and they aren't bothered by it at all! What little stars! cluckbok
Hi ya, No does not make any noise, totally silent. No they not bothered by it, sometimes they knock it by accident when going in/out eglu but we just put our hand through eggport and adjust it. Good idea eh! at least when we go away we can keep an eye on them!

Clare x It also has a really useful feature in the software to turn off the Power and Link LEDs so they don't light up and flash. Very important as I didn't want bright lights flashing away at night in the Eglu. However, I have also plugged the camera in the garage into a timer and power breaker. That way it is safe and also goes off at night to conserve electricity etc. I used a wireless IP webcam so that I didn't need to run cables back to the house. cluckbok
They are out of the run and someone in jeans and a blue top is feeding them treats Hi, that was me feeding the chooks corn. They are out free-ranging now until dusk. You might have seen that one of them "Matilda" kept leaping through our door into the conservatory . I needed the corn to get her back out of the house!
