Ours is between 11 and 12 most days, sometimes a bit later on Saturdays. We have always had a single delivery (being in the country), but it used to be an hour earlier before they made the change to single delivery for everyone.

Someone must be at the beginning of a round and get an early delivery, but I don't know where!

It's a load of bull this postie business because they came at 8.30 this morning with a parcel that would not fit through the letter box so they left a card, never knocked, just left a card, on this card it says allow at least two hours before you go to the sorting office to collect, so when we went at 11am , they said he was not back yet, and to call again after 1pm...we called again after 1pm and the ****** place was shut excuse my french...they close at 12.30pm, no wonder they said call after 1pm they knew damn well they would all have gone home... apparently they finish at noon ish on a Saturday and try very hard to get the post out as early as poss, so they can all pack up and go home on time.... disgruntled?????? I'll say...when it suits them they can post early enough...............:roll::roll::roll::roll: now I feel much better now I have had my little rant

I am also surprised to find out that "Ooops, word censored!"ody gets their post early. Ours is always after 12 noon but usually before 2pm. I haven't even got a proper postman anymore. Ours is now a 'plain-clothed person' who doesn't speak English.

When I first moved here - 20 years ago - I used to get my post at 7.00 (first on the round I think). In those days there was a second post too!

Can't remember when it changed but now its between 8.30 and 10.00.

We see posties leaving the sorting office when we are walking to school, just before 9.

I wonder if its because they have cut back on staff and they have to do more sorting now?
