Recommended Posts

I too play hunt the eglu- no luck as yet, but I have seen lots of chickens that I never seemed to see before I myself had chickens!!

And since coming back off holiday I have heard a cockeral from my garden that I couldn't hear before :lol: , its quite a way away but that is to be investigated!!!

Interesting that you should say that. I've thought a few times in the last month or so that I could hear a cockerel even though we are in an urban setting.

We are a 10-15 min walk from ** Whirlow Hall Farm Trust** and I imagine that they have the nearest cockerels, but I've never heard them before.

Maybe the wind has changed.

 can't answer the question, but yes I'm also glad I am not the only one who plays eglu-spotting!

And isn't it weird how suddenly chickens are everywhere, I never noticed them before.

and am I the only who shouts 'CHICKENS' when they see them?

Went over to Manchester today and on the way home I was delighted to spot 2 Eglus...one green one purple in a garden on the Buxton Road, just before the Royal Oak pub, on the way to Disley.

Do they belong to anyone on the forum?

I have been looking but haven't seen any yet..heard about them from my son who saw them at rare breeds ceentre in Kent and have just heard that my sister in laws step daughter has bought a cube! According to s~in~law they are becoming the newest 'must haves' in the area.[Oxon]

p.s. am confused....my [as in on my computer] seems stuck on my lsst posting on the welcome site yesterday and this morning. Is there anyone out there?

No I do it anywhere I see them: TV or out and about :oops::roll:

Someone had a link to chicken T-shirts and there was one: I don't have a short attention span, I just....oh, look a chicken!

That really sums me up, OH thinks I am a bit obsessed.

I kept hearing a cockerel crowing from the next road - turns out it is a house that backs onto mine and the owner is a mum at the school. Well if she can do it......
