Cheryl
is there any risk from eating our lovely eggs concerning salmonella, are we only safe if the yolks are cooked.. or are our chickens less likely to have salmonella than production line ones? jomaxsmith
I _think_ that if you have hybrids they should have been vaccinated against salmonella. Someone who knows is bound to be along in a minute! Jo
Egluntyne
If your hen s are Omlet girls they will have been vaccinated against salmonella.

Egluntyne
The others probably haven't been vaccinated. You wil just have to weigh up the risks and make a decision. i would follow the usual advice about not giving uncooked eggs to anyone pregnant, very young or very old. Cheryl
actually two of them were sold to me by a local farm, who sell eggs, so i think they must be ok...
