Lesley
Had a phone call last night to say that there is no Aquafat today - he obviously couldn't cope! I'll go swimming instead. I have now stayed the same weight for 2 weeks - but at least it isn't going on! I have added some new equipment to my home gym...........an adult Spacehopper! I was going to get a gym ball but they looked so boring so I bought this instead. Great fun! ....and no, there will be no photos!

Rhapsody
Hey all! And yay well done Paola I have shifted a few more punds since I last posted and am 8lb to my target weight. After the talk at WW last night I measured the distance between the belt hole I'm on when I wear my jeans and the one I started on in September *drum roll* .................6 inches! And can I recommend BodyBalance to everyone? Its a fantastic exercise class that combines the best of Dynamic Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates and is done to lovely music with a 10 minute relaxation at the end. I'm sure it is part of the reason why my waist has shrunk.

moochoo
Well, I have some sad news. Oh and I can't financially continue doing Lighterlife (it was costing us £150 per week ). We've had to come to an abrupt stop, which was never my intention. However, I've decided to follow the route to management system under our own steam and introduce foods in groups. So, it's back to good old healthy eating and exercise for the two of us. I need to shift another 2 stone so it's not a huge hill to climb. I've already shifted 8.5 stone so the worst of it's been done. Thanks for all the support so far and I fear I may need more of it in the near future. Paola
What a shame Moochoo However as you have said, you have done fantastically well so far
Lesley
That's a shame Sarah - but you've come so far and I'm sure you have the determination to continue. I know Slimfast have a similar regime and their website might be helpful. I have got one carton of the shakes but haven't used it yet ....and I printed off their Weekly Meal Planner. The Dogmother
That's a pain Sarah, but you sound like you've got the grit to carry on on your own. The end is in sight now and you've done so well thus far.
moochoo
I've decided to keep a food diary for a while and see how the weight loss goes. I had a small chicken breast and some plain salad leaves last night for my tea. Although it tasted fantastic (my taste buds have definitely been enhanced) I couldn't eat it all! It made me feel better about the near future. My original eating problem was more about portion control than the types of food I ate. I know it's very early days but I'm not going to push my limits by trying to eat more. Going to the fishmongers in a bit to find something nice for tonight's tea. The Dogmother
Sarah try googling for recipes for the south beach diet or a low GI diet. My boss sometimes does the south beach one and the recipes seem really nice and sensible too; low fat and carb, plenty of fresh, raw stuff and enough protein. TheGirlsMum
Good luck Moochoo Ive managed another 2 pounds so that's a total of half a stone so yet another goal achieved.
moochoo
I've just ordered myself a low GI book. It was always my plan to do this after I reached my goal to help maintain so I'll just have to start a bit earlier than expected. Thanks for the advice Clare. Phonix
Im booking a holiday at the end of May and before then I would really like to drop a dress size or 2 but don't have the money or time to attend any classes althgough I would like to go to WW. Any ideas on the best way for me to loose this?? I am lossing a few pounds here and there but no-where near what I want or enough to make a difference xXx
The Dogmother
Try cutting right down on the carbs Stacey and exercising a bit more. Always works when I'm in training.
Rhapsody
WW online..? WW is only half an hour of your evening once a week though
craftyhunnypie
WW is expensive. Nearly £5 a week, plus magazines, sweeties, bars, cookbooks. I would sooner spend that on treats for every 7lb lost. A bit of incentive. Emma.x
Guest
Sorry to hear you ran out of funds. But think how brilliantly you have both done. If you want to lose more you could always try Cambridge diet - same without the counselling so cheaper. Mum did that and then stopped before she had lost all she wanted to she's doing lighterlife lite now and heading for management. I eat a lot more sensibly than I used to. I'm maintaining my weight nicely and I even lost 2 of the "disney" pounds last week.
