Jobless...but...

Recommended Posts

Aww Lisa, that is rotten news. I do feel for you. It's happened to me too and I was so very worried about my future and the finances. Once I'd got used to the idea and started to look around, things did perk up. I'm now much happier than I was before and things are better all round. And they will be for you too.

Don't despair. It will be ok once you've got over this initial period and it's sunk in, you can pick yourself up and start to look for something else. Think positive and try not to overly worry. It is true that as one door closes, another one opens.

Keep that chin up, and come here for a pick me up anytime. Don't forget that gorgeous hubby to be of yours who is there for you to lean on in times like these, and of course, the happy hens too :D

Bless you popcorn!

I've been really positive all day since it happened, I guess its just that now its dark and I've got time to think that the reality has set in.

But...

...on the brighter side the chooks are coming on saturday and I'm so looking forward to it. Been trying to distract myself by thinking of names for them, got some lovely ones so far...

Lisa :(

Hello Lisa

May I ask where you are and what do you do? Maybe us Omleteers can keep an eye out for you on the job scene.

I'm a firm believer in the fact that these things happen for a reason and there is always something better just around the corner :D:D

So am I and I'm sure you'll be posting about a fabulous job which makes you happy very soon, Lisa so keep your chin up and keep looking as it's out there. Grandma lived by the motto "If it's meant for you, it won't go by you" so keep positive and you've got the chickens coming to keep you occupied soon :D .

Me too.

The right opportunity will present itself when you least expect it!

All the best.

and me too!

I lost a job once, with 5 minutes notice - and a bunch of flowers  . I had an elderly grandmother and two teenagers to provide for and I was devastated......... but it is true, there is always something else that will come along... and usually better.

I was going to post exactly the same thing as Chili

Not only what you do now but also what sort of job will you be looking for?

You never know who might be reading this

Well I'm hoping my DH is approaching that corner right now! We've kept positive but now 6 months have passed it's hard to see a rosy future. I always think it's easy to get a job, but it doesn't seem to be. :(

Lisa, I hope you are lucky and find something just right for you very quickly! Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks so much for all your encouragement out there. 8)

I've been into work today with my head held high, my brightest lippy on and a permanent smile! See...:lol:

In answer to your questions, I'm a Nursery Nurse, and a pretty good one at that! (without blowing my own trumpet too much! ) I'm not sure what I want to do. I'll do owt to pay the mortgage. I'm pretty good at arts and crafts so something in that line would be good. Omlet, if you're reading and want someone to do some 'chickeny crafts' give me a call!! Or maybe I could be a new rep for you???

Anyway, thanks again for your support.
