Washing in/washing out?

Recommended Posts

I hate this weather when you don't know if you should hang the washing on the line or not :?

I see a glimmer of sun ,grab the pegs, but by the time I get out there its clouding up again.

WHY has no one invented a big old umbrella type thingy for rotary lines which automatically pops open at the first sign of rain?

I'm already obsessed with weather forecasts, I check both the BBC and the Met.office every morning even before I come on here.

I don't like their forecast for Monday the BBC are forecasting full sun and 17 degrees whereas metcheck showed rain most of the day :?

Good luck with the baby clothes Lisastyal :D

The 'Economy' cycles on my machine take over 2 hours - I can guarantee that if it looks like a good day to dry washing, within 2 hours it will be raining!

I'm hoping the rain stays away today because my boys' school have a May Day celebration this afternoon with performances and cake and plant stalls - if it rains they'll have to cancel

Hung my washing out an hour ago as it's been really sunny here... it is now tipping with rain out of a bright blue sky... Of course the start of it coincided with me being upstairs changing my son's nappy...

Ok... back in the machine then....

I am generally not too fussy about hygiene, apart from in the kitchen - but if washing gets rained on, I have to wash it again. I had a friend who used to say 'Ooh, can't get anything dry, it's been out there all week and every time it dries, then it gets rained on again so I'm leaving it out there' and this used to make my toes curl!

Not sure why, it's probably reading about acid rain and pollution at an early age! I'm not talking about a few spots of rain, but if it got properly soaked I couldn't bear to just let it dry out again.

Doesn't bother me, I just think of it as really well rinsed :)
