Guest
...what to buy with my winnings from the crossword I quite fancy "Hen and the art of chicken maintenance" but I can buy it cheaper on amazon or abebooks. I was toying with the idea of the egg spiral as it looks stunning but then how would i keep track of which eggs to use first? I couldn't be bothered moving them all down a notch every time I used one. I love the cool chick butter dish and toast rack but would probably never use them. I already have most of the health products and we've got enough mash for now. the melamine egg cups and spoons would come in handy for the camper van i think i've narrowed it down to the book, and the egg cups and spoons or the egg spiral. what would you buy in the shop if you had £20? (I don't have an eglu so nothing eglu related please)

Snowy
Oh dear, what a nice dilemma to have! And I only want a spare set of roosting bars for my cube so that's no use to you either
Tessa the Duchess
Gosh it's hard isn't it. I wouldn't get the book, I got a copy from the library for free. I would get the egg spiral or I quite fancy the chicken chopping board. Tessa
Christian
I bought the cool chicken jug in blue and some red mite powder
Ain't Nobody Here
The egg skelter (and not just because MY egg skelter is on the website - did I mention that before? ) Look how beautiful it is I write the date on my eggs and take them off the end - they do roll down (except Maisie's which are a weird shape ). Guest
i would get the egg skelter but it's not available in the shop, is it?
Ain't Nobody Here
Hmm, that's a point . How about buying something boring and essential (a health product for the chooks?) and spending the money you've saved on the egg skelter ?
Ziggy
The spiral egg thing looks lovely... if you really like it, you could get that, and have a piece of ribbon or foil or something to keep under the next egg to be used... if you always fill it in the same direction, let's say from the bottom, you'd know that the egg with the ribbon, and the ones above it, are the ones to use next... I really like the look of the doorstoppers, but they are expensive, I could make them myself (not as neat, but close enough), and more to the point I have no use for one... The Dogmother
I'd just by chicken feed, since I wouldn't ne much else though the butter dish sounds nice, and I am not madly keen on the chopping board(saw it in Lakeland today).
Laura & CTB
I'd throw in the extra money and buy the "Beware of the chickens" doormat!
Guest
I'd throw in the extra money and buy the "Beware of the chickens" doormat! thanks for the suggestions so far. I have a coconut mat with chickens on and the design has faded, only had it a couple of months. I think the constant wiping of feet wipes the ink off so, although I like the mat, I think the same would happen with it. We have loads of mash and if I bought some now it would 'go off' before we got round to using it. I'd like something for myself to be honest, the girls get spoilt all the time I'll carry on pondering but I do wish the shop stocked the egg skelter

Maybe there is someone else on the forum who is planning to buy something from Omlet. You choose as your prize whatever it is that they want and get it sent to them. They send you a cheque for £20 and then you can buy an Eggskelter! problem solved. Tessa
