Cinnamon
Pansy,my Rhode Star is laying really odd, lumpy, mishapen potato like eggs A couple of weeks ago she was off colour & laid this amazing hooped egg - And these strange things are her latest effort (you can't really tell how lumpy they are in a photo,so I have put them next to her friend normal egg for comparison) They won't even roll down the Egg Skelter

Egluntyne
I wonder if they are double yolkers? They've got that little "waist".
Ain't Nobody Here
Very odd . My Maisie's are slightly torpedo-shaped (and also won't roll down the egg skelter ) but they're not that bad . (Sorry, Pansy, I'm sure they still taste delicious .)
Cinnamon
Haven't broke one yet to see how it is inside, but we will be eating them ourselves as I don't think I could possibly put them in a box to be sold

theherd123
She was obviously bored one day and decided to change her shape just to get your attention - i see it's worked! 'Spud eggs' a new line in your egg selling business - charge twice the price

hillfamily
Our Babs has recently started laying eggs with a flat side handy 'cos they don't roll away when you leave them on the worktop :D.........but they don't roll down my egg skelter
redfrock
Carmen, my Daisybelle, always lays eggs shaped liked the middle one We always know which one is hers. She was also the one that was forever giving us double yolkers for the first 6 or so months of laying. When they have a 'hoop' round them I often think they have stopped mid-lay for a rest - Agatha laid one the other day with the most perfect ridge round it. I must admit I have never seen one quite like in your first photo before though
