Am I the only one on here that doesn't like crocs?!

Recommended Posts

I totally agree Tessa, mine are bright pink and DH's are Navy blue.

My teenage kids have both got croc copies though, and in comparison they feel yukky to wear.

BUT they feel yukky to wear because they are COPIES the copies just do not have the same comfort factor - made from completely different stuff.

They're invading again. This thread is for those that DON'T like crocs :)

Yes, but it stops Richard from complaining about having too many threads about Crocs.......

But it doesn't stop people from starting new threads about the stupid shoes. I see there's another new one just started.

I always wear my crocs to work now I have bright pink, purple and red

My red ones have cow and cat jibbitz, my purple ones have huge flowers on and my pink ones have gems

I was in a staff meeting the other day and one of the other bods was wearing the same shade of purple and described mine as more fun because of the flowers to which I replies no they are just more daft

Daft they may be but they are comfy so I don't care what others think 8)

Same with the Uggs - the cheap copies are the ones that make it seem like you're not walking with the sole of the shoe underneath your foot  I won't argue that Uggs aren't ugly, I hated them before I bought them! But it stops my feet turning blue in the winter  Once you've tried them, you wouldn't turn back!!

Maybe it's the same with the crocs? Hence, why I will never try them.....

I agree totally I can't stand the feel of plastic I do spend most of my day in clogs, same style I guess only not plastic mine are leather.

I only wear Crocs now - and I wear them with long skirts......

Long enough to cover them up I hope. :D Well done Lesley.

They would cover the Crocs - but I usually have my skirts tucked in my knickers - it saves collecting all that chicken poo along the hemline

.... and that is how I was dressed when Bishop David came round to the chicken run to find me one day :oops::lol:

the thing is that crocs don't just make the big clumpy ones, that people generally associate with the make. They make all sorts of styles including proper flip-flops etc, out of the same material as their standard crocs. So now there is no reason to dislike them as many of the styles are no different to 'normal' summer shoes ..... just 10 times more comfortable.

I am dreading the winter when I have to revert back to 'normal' boots

I have to admit I did just think maybe a pair of those flipflops.....:oops: but!!!!! I wouldnt wear them everywhere like people do sometimes in the most innapropriate places. I would wear them for the school run (walk) etc.

I promise I won't be wearing them when I am attaending court for work - they'll just be in the back of the car to change into the minute I am finished!

Actually I have bought the 'Adara' style for work. They are veritually no different to what I wore last summer, and are in black, so "Ooops, word censored!"ody will have a clue that they are Crocs.

Primark are now also selling copies too.

Funny you should mention the flipflops Bronze as I've recently bought a pair from Jellyegg and they are brilliant. They give your heel a lot more support, and thus a bit more shock protection and the toe posts don't rub on me like normal flipflops either!

The athens flipflops are on Sale at £20 from Jellyegg and the Ithacas are too, for £25.
