Happybunny
Here are two of my chicks, Junior and Brian, who hatched this week. Still in the nest are Nesbit and Sparkly (who were a bit young to forage) and Graham (who hasn't hatched yet, but we can hear him cheeping in his egg). I couldn't resist showing them off - they're the first chicks I have seen hatch naturally rather than in an incubator. It's so exciting to see the hens showing them how to peck up food. Happybunny
Awww, how cute are they!! AND I cant believe you still have grass in your run! Well the cockerel is out all day and the hens have been on the nest for 3 weeks so it probably looks healthier than normal!

Pinkybijou
Aww, they are adorable!!! Did they all hatch in the Eglu? Just wondering how did they manage the bars? I love the way mummy hen is showing them how to peck - that's just lovely!

Happybunny
Aww they are so cute! Whar breed is your hen? They're gorgeous!! x I don't know the breed of the hen in the photo. My friend gave her to me after her dog had got into the run and killed her other hens -Flinty only survived because she could fly. I don't know if she is actually the mother of those chicks because I also have 2 buff pekins and all the hens have been sharing the eglu nest box! It seems a bit of a squeeze but everyone is happy: the pekins do the sitting and Flinty does the exercise.
