Valkyrie
He certainly is a handsome fella. I like his comb - looks like he is wearing a beret.
..lay a little egg for me
Yes, I thought it looked like a beret and his wattles could be the necktie and hey, yes, he is a french painter!! Sneak him home and call him Monet!

Janty
I thought that he might be some sort of silver brahma...maybe a silver partridge brahma.
superjules
That's much more likely Janty. I just saw the rose comb and thought Wyandotte because I have one! I forgot brahmas have a rose comb too.
Janty
I really love brahmas. I often wonder how my boys are getting on at their new home (remember that my spice girls turned out to be spice boys). How sad am I!
superjules
Oh Janty, bless you. You must miss them. I wish I had the room for big chooks, I love looking at the brahmas at our local poultry centre. The girls always seem to be wearing saddles though as the boys are so hefty and look like they are not overly sympathetic about having a headache!! Might go for some brahma bantams one day. They have columbian bantams at Thorne's and I'm a sucker for that sussex colouring!
Janty
Here is my gorgeous Buffy. She is a buff columbian brahma. and here is Buffy with Kylie, my gold partridge brahma miniature.
Janty
Meant to say, these pics were taken at Christmas when they were about 5 or 6 months old. Both girls have matured since then...and grown.

Laura & CTB
Maybe we should get Omlet to make an extra large size eglu
Janty
You'd be surprised how little space the big ones take up. Three can fit in the cube nesting box when they need to. It is quite amusing seeing all those feathery bums sticking up in the air.
esta
He is gorgeous! If you go on the clubs gallery and type in bev, he is called kev and he is on the second page second picture (in my album).* click on the white chook, eben though the bantam pic is mine 2! He is an old english game!
