motherhen
I'm sure that in the thread about the economics of an eglu, it was suggested that the multi-functional eglu could serve as a climbing frame substitute - so in order to provide your daughter with a fashionable climbing frame, you'll have to buy another eglu in the latest chocolate colour and let her sit on it a bit while the new hens inside do their thing
Lesley-Jean
They also have 'targets' which they have to reachI think you have hit the tax disc on the head Gina grd is right. Forget it and move on. Forget it and move on. You know you are a better person than the jobsworth Coam Do you know what, I would probably be worse if I had that job I used to be so liberal in my thinking but as I get older that's all changing slowly but surely They say that you can only go through life learning from your experiences and if this chap has been through my situation numerous times before that is going to colour his outlook isn't it? Popcorn
I think you have hit the tax disc on the head Gina Maybe Thalia should have hit the policeman on the head and run off Benny Hill style

Louise
I have a downer on the Police at the mo as well The only time I ever see any police is when they have a speed gun in their hand not that I am speeding you understand but they are everywhere up here at the moment I just feel they should be doing something like catching criminals Yes road crime is not good but do they have to have every available officer on it I took someone to the airport recently at 2.30 am and they were sitting in Peebles in the speed van - why They can still catch drunk drivers and speeders in a normal car doing the rounds why why why do they have the speed camera out My car had a wing mirror kicked off it when I was at my parents last year in the middle of the night maybe if the plod had been doing the rounds it might not have happened It is not the individual officer I have a downer on just the system Sorry to hear about the ticket
Jacky
Thalia as i live near you i reckon that policeman is the same one who had a go at a friend of mine. she works in a local off licence and he came into a full shop she smiled nicely and said "can I help you" he repilied you can wipe that smile off your face she was rather shocked he came in to investigate selling alcohol to underagers Now if anyone knows Jo she has a repetation in the village for being the women in the off liecence who won't sell to underagers anyway despite all that she spoke to the police authorities etc etc as she wanted an aplogy from the said policeman. Needless to say it never happened but his attitude was really bad just like the Pc that approached you. So put it behind you because I doubt you'll get an apology
Chicken on a mission
Thanks Jacky To be honest, I'm one of those people that feels very strongly about things and then thinks it through and that's that. I have a great respect for people in authority but you do get the odd 'little Hitler' and that's life I'll send the cheque off on Monday for the fine and if I haven't been able to locate the disc by fishing down the blowers with a palatte knife i'll send for a replacement tax disc too "Ooops, word censored!"ody warned me when we were considering having children that this would be one of the expenses we could expect for it

Chicken on a mission
You are not ging to believe this I went to the doctors this morning (and got signed off to do LighterLife yipee ) and the saga of the tax disc continues. I spotted it tucked into the top left corner of my windscreen courtesy of my daughter no doubt Does anyone know where I stand on this? Do you have to display the tax disk bottom left or can you display it anywhere in the windscreen? If I had been guilty of not displaying the disc then I would have taken the punishment deserved but have I still commited a misdemeenor by not having the disc in the usual place? Chicken on a mission
I went down to the police station and the fine no longer stands. I was hoping to see the policeman involved but he wasn't there When I spoke to my mum about this it occured to me that he only saw me as I was driving past and never actually looked at my windscreen up close and I never thought to look up at the top of the windscreen! Never mind, that's that sorted out.
Hellcat
COAM, just caught up with this thread. Have you thought about going to the local cop shop to complain about attitude? Also, chat with them and find out how they check if your tax is out of date, as if he said he checked and it was out of date, he's obviously the one lying. I have had similar run-ins. Coming home from a party at 2am back in my young single days I was pulled for a 'routine check'. Guy obviously had "Ooops, word censored!" all better to do, he kept me standing at the side of the road for 40 mins while he pulled my little mini apart. One bald tyre later, I got a fine AND a lecture. One or the other, I said, I'm not taking the ticket and the lecture, and he threatened to pull me in for lipping a copper! Male chauvanist, mysoginistic so and so! I think I ran over his foot as I pulled away
