chocchick
You'd need a lot of chickens
..lay a little egg for me
Blimey! Isn't it amazingly 'reptilian' in looks? Not sure if its yukky or a good use of an animal that would be slaughtered anyway. Don't think I'll be getting one, though...
Egluntyne
How nasty. I'm sure they won' be the next Omlet "must haves".
Keanie Bean
Just not nice. I cant imagine the birds are used for other purposes. Maybe dog food. Not on my want list Sarah.x
Mutrix Farmers
That's horrible!! Don't some cultures have odd ideass about what is OK to do to or with animals!! I noticed lizard skin as I was clicking the exit button, so what industry is that a by-product of??

Lesley
I would imagine that the leather is a by-product of the chicken meat industry in the same way as most of the leather used for shoes/bags/belts etc. in this country and Europe is a by-product of the beef industry. A lot of chicken is eaten in Thailand so it would make sense to use the skin? I wouldn't buy it - but I don't buy any leather........ bronze
I don't have a problem with it if it is a by product. In fact I admire it if it is. Though I don't actually like the look of it.

craftyhunnypie
I have actually seen these so called chicken leg wallets, purses, bags & belts for sale in Thailand. However, they were definitely only chicken patterned - not real leather or skins. They also had elephant, shark, crocodile & sting ray skin patterns. I can honestly assure you, that the ones we saw were not real skins! But elsewhere in Thailand & all over the world - yes there probably does exist things we would rather not see or think about (ivory, coral, tortoise shells, monkey fur) Emma.x
