Guest
It's not very good but it was inspired by something I said to poachedegg and I just knocked it out in a few minutes, hope it makes you smile! I'd better get on with some housework! I’m cultivating cobwebs Collecting lint and dust Only doing housework When I absolutely must You see I have a reason For this excess of refuse It’s not a very valid one Just some fowl excuse There are chickens in my garden I got them just to lay Now I find I’m captivated Just watching them all day!!!! So fair warning if you’re pondering And trying to bribe the spouse You may find yourself on telly On ‘How Clean is Your House?”! **edit** slight edit to first line of poem **edit** edited verse 2 **edit** to say I've edited it! **edit** to verse 3 editing, the poets' curse! Guest
thanks I can see where it needs editing already, like removing the word 'slowly' form the first line and verse 3 doesn't scan as I would like but hey, it was just for fun
