beebee
There is a small robin that for some reason keeps going in the chickens run even when the door is closed and then struggles to get out again It could get stuck What can i do to prevent it??? Thanks
Omletina Kyckling
He's after the pellets. I have one who sneaks in and out, sits on the edge of the grub, has a nibble then flies off.....Britta got the fright of her life the other day when she saw him, and chased him out..... Baggins
Just thought I'd add my assessment of birdlife intelligence based on some breeds not being able to re-find the chicken pop-hole to exit, despite having gone in through it seconds earlier : Wood pigeons - dim Collared doves - sometimes figure it out, sometimes not Sparrows - a bit more intelligent and will often re-find the door though tend to squeeze through chicken wire if panicked Robins - clever Blackbirds - very intelligent (pop in for a bite to eat and pop out again) Starlings - on the whole, dim Extras - local cat (extremely dim - stuck in there quaking waiting for chicken attack!), fieldmice (clever but small enough to fit through wire) Hours of fun for all the family
