Just found a brilliant website.

Recommended Posts

I was trawling the net and came across a fantastic website!

Had a quick (long :D ) browse and it's one of the most informative, easy to understand chicken keeping websites I've ever come across!

It's extremely well laid out, loads to read and incredibly interesting too. Whether you've kept chickens for 5 days or 5 yrs it's all there. Have a look. (If you want to, that is  .)

ps At first glance you'd think the author was from either Australia or US but she's based in Cider Country :D

good site.

Just discovered that my run is too small for 4 birds!!!!

Although they do freerange evenings and weekends, this may become an issue in winter.

I have a run 7ftx4ft (= 28sqft) but the site said 8sq ft per hybrid sized bird (= 32sq ft) Do you think may be why Gladys had that pecking issue I'm monitoring?

Lots of info on this site

the author is not an eglu fan though " fairly small and over priced "

I love my eglu ( Yes it was expensive compared to other houses on the market ) but I think its well worth the money my only regret is that i didn't order the cube instead :roll: ( note to hubby on my christmas wish list )

EACH TO THEIR OWN I SUPPOSE :D
