Mrs Frugal
Gina's just texted to say hello! She wanted me to say hello to everyone and to let you all know that she's missing the forum and all of us and time is whizzing! (oh I know that feeling!). Fingers tightly crossed that she'll be up to making it to the get together but it's really soon after the birth of Stefan. We'll all miss you if you're not there Gina but we all understand and if you can't make it, we'll catch up with you very soon - you have been warned ! Sheilaz
It's quite hard getting anywhere at first, but would just be brilliant if they could pop across. Lovely that you're thinking of us though, and keeping in touch, Gina. We're thinking of you all too! Ooooh, really would love to meet you all, but do what feels best for you on the day. Paola
Hello Gina. Lovely that we are in her thoughts. I think you have to give yourself at least six weeks to get in to the swing of having a new baby
Mrs Frugal
The poor dear's just sent me a PM to say she won't be able to make Burghley as she's in a lot of pain still and walking's difficult. I had a section with Ollie and it isn't easy getting around but we'll all get to meet up soon so we'll have to send virtual hugs and give Stefan's toes virtual nibbles for the time being. We'll miss you all Gina but we'll see you soon.
Martin B
I was looking forward to meeting Gina! I hope she feels better soon anyway!
Cate in NZ
Hi Gina Take your time, look after yourself and that gorgeous baby of yours and get yourself back to full strength. We'll all be waiting for you when you get back onto the forum, and there'll be plenty more opportunities for us all to get-together I'm sure. Take care
Paola
Perhaps a special get together in the summer to meet the youngest member of the forum Look after yourself
Lesley
Sorry we won't get to meet you all on Sunday Gina - take care.
The Dogmother
What a shame, but the main thing is that Gina takes it easy and lets her body do the healing - a 40 hour labour must have really taken it out of her. You do need to take it easy after a section - the midwives kept telling me to go back to my bed and rest instead of haring around tha ward
One Man Banned
sorry we won't get to meet you at the weekend Gina - was looking forward to seeing you in person, and Stefan and Darren Shall we cancel Sunday and all go to Gina's with a card, flowers and some G&B??? Chicken on a mission
I had a C section with Esme too. I know that you can feel very sore and down afterwards so I hope that Gina is getting a pampering from her friends and family. It can be hard if everyone focuses on the baby and forgets about poor old mum
The Dogmother
How about some pampering the Gina? Shall we go off to a health farm while Darren looks after Stefan? I am sure that all you want at this point in time is some sleep. COAM, I've just noticed the amount of weight you've lost in your signature - well done that Birdie! I am dead impressed. Popcorn
Just a quick catch up from me. Thank you so much for all your kind messages. I've just about stopped crying enough to read through my tears. - sympathy please!! Wow - being a parent is a hard job. And not knowing if you are doing the right thing is even harder. I'll be glad to get back on my feet and have some sort of normality back - if that's possible with a baby! Diana - I hope you are doing ok. Sending love your way. Sorry it's short and sweet. Am thinking of you all and hope to be able to come back a bit more permanently soon. Lots of love to you all xxx A rare moment...
