Totally agree that its brilliant and I'm not even a fan of Abba particularly. It just has such a feel good thing going on throughout doesn't it and it just makes you want to live life to the full.

Is an ace film - i love Abba anyway but its a real funny, feel good film. I'd see it again in a shot!

We went on Sunday afternoon and it is just the best feel good film ever. I would quite happily go and see it again and will probably even buy the DVD, which I never normally do.

I agree it was fab. I went to see as a girlie night out and we had a ball!!! It was ridiculous and corney BUT so funny and we laughed from start to finish. I've been playing ABBA non-stop ever since.

 

My vote is for Piers Brosnan.

I went last night with the girls from work - end of term treat for tired teachers and TAs - and it was terrific! I defy anyone to walk out of the cinema without a huge smile on their face!!

I saw the musical in London last year on a trip and insisted on taking the whole family to it the other night. I actually think it was a good in the cinema as the original musical was. The kids have been raving about it ever since, asking if they can go see it again!

 

Def one I would see again and will most certainly buy the dvd when it is available - it is now a family classic!

 

I loved Meryl Streep's singing too!

I'm definitely going to see it, hopefully this weekend. Trouble is I've sort of arranged to go with a couple of girlfriends, then my MUm of all people announced she wanted to see it, then my Dad decided he wanted to go (they're not together so that's not an option) and OH likes a good chick flick every now and then so he wants to see it too! I might end up seeing it 4 times! As long as I don't have to pay every time I don't mind, if it's as good as everyone says I'll definitely be buying the DVD, whenever there's nothing on TV (fairly often ) we put on Notting Hill or Love Actually or something like it. Feelgood films, they're great

I loved it too. Corney, easy, funny... whatever. The thing is everyone came out of the cinema smiling! Such a sweet film.

 

Beautiful scenery - I'm now totally into blues! Want to re-decorate my house ...and to go back to Greece for holidays...! What a beautiful place.

 

And plenty of 'eye candy' for everyone too

i wasn't that interested as not into musicals really, well not new ones like moulin roue etc but if its that good may watch it on dvd when it comes out

I have to say that film is one that got all my emotions going, went to see it with my daughter, sister and mum. We laughed, we cried. Especially the Emma Thompson bit when she realises the necklace wasn't for her and she goes into her bedroom. It actually made the back of my throat hurt, you know when you're going to cry sometimes (or perhaps thats just me )

 

We watch it just before Christmas each year and often through the year. We are complete DVD addicts.

I really enjoyed Mamma Mia, despite the very contrived plot. I thought Meryl Streep was excellent. Colin Firth was gorgeous as usual even though he can't dance, and Pierce's singing was rather painful at times, but you have to admire his bravery.

 

A very enjoyable feel-good movie.

I did find myself rather confused by Pierce Brosnan's strange accent...was he trying to sound American and not doing very well?

It was the best film Ive seen for ages! Im going back next week, to take my kids! Piers Brosnan singing was the funniest thing Ive seen for years, Ive been out and bought the CD ,something I never usually do, cant wait for the DVD! I cant stop singing!

I havn't seen it yet but we are hopefully going this weekend when it is forecast rain.

 

When my cousin saw it some old ladies got up in the middle and went down to the front near the screen and were dancing all the way throughthe rest of it. She said it was funny to start off with but then got quite annoying.

Just got back from seeing it with my OH, daughter (2nd time) and 10 year old. It was fantastic, funny, had everyone in stitches.

 

Daughter says she wants to see it again - if I can get a babysitter I'm going to see it again. Loved it. The bit where all the women were dancing on the jetty gave me goosebumps - I'd love to do that
