My family are more inclined to make chicken recipe/ good soup comments! My girls are light sussex, blue laced wyandotte and gold laced wyandotte and I got them from a girl in Glasgow whose hen party I went to. I would have loved to get some ex battery hens but was too nervous as a complete beginner - maybe next time (now that the bug has bitten).
