wow you LUCKY thing!

I only know the obvious ones on there - Liza Carthy, Martha Wainwright, The Levellers - oh and Billy Bragg and Joan Armatrading and k d lang, of course!

I went to Cambridge FF years ago, it's a really good one as I recall - and you've definitely got some FOLK in this line-up, unlike a lot of them these days that tend to veer into more 'popular' stuff.

Enjoy!

Have a great time.

Jump around to the Levellers for me.

I love the Levellers.

Jump around to the Levellers for me.

I love the Levellers.

Me too - never seen them live before though - I've stood outside a gig they were playing in Hull when I was a student and was very jealous!

[theherd123]

The Levellers - wow that takes me back a few years!

42nd Street in Manchester most Saturday nights

Well we're back and we had a fabulous time. I must say that the Levellers didn't really do it for me live although I did enjoy them. There were so many more talented people in the line up!

I don't know who my favourites were actually, such a varied bunch.

It was an introduction for me to Billy Bragg, who I thought was fabulous. He also performed as part of a multicultural "English" group called the Imagined Village which I think was one of my favourite things. They went down a storm at Glastonbury too I think

Never heard Joan Armatrading before either - wow. She was amazing.

Kd Lang was a bit ropey at first, I think there was a problem with her earpiece or something, but I really enjoyed her once she had warmed up and sorted that out.

There were two young celtic bands I really loved "the Chair" and "Beoga"

nice modern takes on the genre.

The wonderful wonderful Eric Bibb went down a storm. We're lucky enough to have seen him twice before though. Lovely to see new people finding out about him.

Lots and lots of other stuff. !

I've writted a bit about how our Guide dog pup Quita enjoyed the whole experience. (follow link in my signature) and there is a video link to a little Look East news piece which happens to have us in near the end of it.

[Tina C]

I wanted to go but we were on hols. I can't believe you have never heard of Joan Armatrading, Claire!

Glad you enjoyed it.

[little chickadee]

I had heard of her as a name, but I had no idea who she was Tina! I was only a wee baby in the 1970's !

[Tina C]

I had a feeling it might be one of those age-related things....

She is wonderful - 'Love & Affection' is one of my all time favourites

It looks like it was a good crowd there

[Guest]

I love folk, favourites are Capercaillie, Loreena McKennit, Kate Rusby and Flossie Malavialle.

We'll get to a folk festival one of these days, glad you had a good time

There were lots of people in the disabled section who couldn't believe I didn't know some of the acts too Tina I think I was about a decade out with my musical knowledge! It's great discovering things though

[Egluntyne]

Never heard Joan Armatrading before

Glad you enjoyed it.

Just getting excited about the next festival of the summer! We've got the kids with us though so we won't be able to just sit in the music tent the whole time

[Scramble]

Wow!

I've been four times in a row!

Had to miss it this year though as I went camping with the guides instead!

NO! Well camping was fun too...

I heard that Mauvais Sort where going to be there!

French-Canadian to the best of their advantage!
