MedusA
Our local foxes actually sit on the roof of my run. They are just so brazen. Wretched foxes woke me up at 4am this morning, playfighting in the street, so I had to get up to check the girls were OK. Of course they were, but it doesn't stop me worrying. I am getting seriously sleep-deprived at the moment, as it's every night.
blackpuddinonnabike
Their permanent run is actually going to go in the area by the shed behind the fox, and FoxWatch is going to be employed soon. The girls never get let out if we're not there. This is quite a young guy, been around a fair bit, takes a bit of chasing away!
Gallina
Be careful if the fox starts lying on top of the Eglu run. I had a fox which did this, and eventually he struck and killed a hen through the mesh. The hens got so used to him they didn't worry when he was around, unfortunately. It's strange how the forum divides in two. That photograph you put on was just an everyday sight for some of us; whereas it obviously really freaks the rest out. hils78
She looks quite puppy like to me. I can't help but think how beautiful they are. Little blighters when it comes to keeping pets/livestock tho...

Mutrix Farmers
Great photo! I still like to see foxes I just wish they only killed to eat (and then not domestic animals) instead of the random killing sprees they seem to enjoy. Not sure how I would feel about them if they ever got my girls though??!!
Barkisland
He is a very handsome fellow isn't he?. Normally, I'd be delighted to see a fox in my garden, but now we are getting our run built and looking forward to receiving our girls, I'd be very upset! Oh well, it just means there's even more incentive to make the run completely foxproof and stay vigilant.
Gamebird
The girls never get let out if we're not there. This is quite a young guy, been around a fair bit, takes a bit of chasing away! It didn't make any difference to the fox who took Veronica - I was in the garden at the time when he scattered the girls right in front of my eyes. Luckily my dog gave chase and Veronica found her way home a couple of hours later A mad women leaping up and down and shouting obscenities doesn't seem to have much affect on a fox whose got his eye on supper. Handsome young fox though, he does look well nourished

Joojoo
What a beautiful photo. Fortunately I've not seen one yet in my garden or I probably wouldn't be thinking such nice thoughts
Donna_0
Oh my goodness.. At first I thought how handsome he looked, and then felt awful at the thought that he could cause so much damage to your beloved pets. We live in a urban area, but I am still cautious about mr fox being around Good that you caught mr butter wouldn't melt before some damage was done! -Barbara 28/07/08 -Margot 04/08/
