We have just seen a couple of friends of ours who are in Antigua in the crowd there! I really don't like Rachel and thought that she was very weak tonight. I had to walk out when Eoghan was doing his stuff. I am sure that he would be much better in a couple of years time but he looked about 12 tonight. Daniel wasn't too bad. When they showed that clip of him at the Bond premiere and he turned round when someone said "Daniel" I thought that someone ought to tell him that it wasn't necessarily him that they were talking to! Having said that, I preferred him in the early stages and thought that he had been made over a bit too much. Does anyone have any idea how tall he is as he looked tiny at the side of Will Young. But can't say I'm bothered - it was only a matter of time as I didn't think he would get to the final And I was fed up of him sniveling Am surprised Daniel wasn't in the sing off, but pleased for him. And yes, Austen looked teeny tiny next to Will Young! Can I rant? That slidey nasal thing that Diana does REALLY grates, and what is it with her hand up next to her head all the time And she obviously has no dancing ability as she has hardly moved from a chair the whole series. I am upset that Austin went and not Daniel, he has an ok voice but is nothing special. I can't warm to Rachel either. I was a bit miffed at Simon when he was supposed to say encouraging words to introduce Austin in the sing off. It was like 'oh I hope its not the last time he sings - its Austin' great Simon, put your heart and soul in it. I think he wanted to keep Rachel in no matter what. I must be missing something as the judges really rate her Couldn't agree more. Her style is that of an ageing hippy and not a 19 year old girl. I've always thought that he was the strongest of the boys by far. Eoghan is sweet but he was totally flat several times during his song. Rachel was late and fluffed her words and should have gone last night. I'm also in the camp that just can't warm to her. I think her attitude early in the rounds put me off her irretrievably. I thought Daniel was actually OK this week, but not better than Austin. As usual the girls dominated. I loved Diana, Alexandra and Laura (as usual), though JLS were good too. I also felt that the backing track on the JLS number was overpowering and it was almost like a security blanket for them. I would have liked to have heard their harmonies a little clearer.
