Redwing
I've been up since five! I can't eat any breakfast. (My husband says he wouldnt mind but that I am in my thirties and should know better) I am having to leave my beloved Volvo behind and go in a liveried company estate car so if you see a white estate on the M32/M4/M5/M42 with an Eglu in the back give me a honk and a wave Edited September 14, 2008 by Guest
Plum
Lucky you. I have a few months to go yet. When do you get the chickens? What type? How many? Names?
Redwing
We are moving in three weeks so I am just accumulating things at the moment We are doing the whole rose tinted specs thing at the moment as our new house is in the countryside so we have the lounge piled high with bird feeders, wellies, garden tools etc..... My husband wants ex batts but I hear they are challenging so I am leaning towards getting some POL from a farm (he won't mind as long as we call one 'Ninja') So no chickens for me for a bit but on the plus side at least the dog will have somewhere to sleep! Plum
Well you have made me laugh this morning. Dont forget to collect a cowshed, 5 rail gate and pond before you move. Have a great day.

Ain't Nobody Here
Lucky you, your new life sounds idyllic . Good luck with the eglu!
Redwing
My is here in my lounge! its a thing of beauty ANH - It does sound idylic but the trade off for the country setting, a 200ft garden and a gravel drive is a tiny ugly house! Ain't Nobody Here
You do realise the eglu has to go in your garden ? Have you got plans to improve the house? It still sounds idyllic, ugly or not!
Egluntyne
Congratulations. Does it clash with your curtains?
Redwing
It's not going in the garden! *covers Eglu's ears* it's clean so its staying right here as in this part of Bristol if it isn't nailed down it gets nicked! (we have brown curtains though so it doesn't go at all!) We arent going to do much with our new house - this move is all about the garden! I am very lucky as for five years I have stayed in a hotel for up to four nights a week so when my company offered promotion and asked if I would relocate I jumped at it. I still have to travel a bit but will be home nearly every night so no more clinical hotel rooms/bar meals/eurostars for me! And I get to have chickens
Plum
It will be so much easier cleaning the poo tray in the dry. And you can hoover it out. There's not many who can say they do that. here's a virtual chicken for it to keep you going . Do you think grey and black go well with red. Oh and a to wander the room and admire it.
