I can't mock.

Me 'n Him Indoors are going to see Ken Dodd in October.

Seen him before and he is absolutely hysterical.

I have heard lots of good things about Ken Dodd's shows. Apparently in Lowestoft, they couldn't get him off the stage. I tried to get tickets to take my Dad but they sold out straight away.

Agree with Janty - I hope you're prepared for a late night - he never finishes on time My Dad went to see him in Stratford and he kept on entertaining for another hour and a half  They left at midnight!!

Shhh, dont tell anyone but when I was little I LOVED Jimmy. I had the single of long haired lover on repeat on the record player and would cry if my poor long suffering mum would try to take it off. In my defence, I think I was about 2 at the time.

The old entertainers are often the best though. We have seen Keith Harris and Orville in panto and I laughed till I cryed. He was excellent and incredibly funny.

Bob Carolgees and Spit the dog were also highly entertaining!

(sorry  )

I like going to UEA in Norwich and seeing the 80s pop stars. Human League were hilarious. Susan whatserface did a country style solo bit and she obviously thinks that she can sing.

Bless!

:D

On the plus side, Soft Cell were amazing. Never seen so much leather and pvc in one room before but that's another story! Erasure, as always were great. They were supported by one of the blokes from OMD who was also good.

Went to see Divine Comedy with hubby when I hadn't been seeing him long and didn't feel that I could tell him to get lost. Never been so bored in my life. I tell you. I heard a song called Sweden...I think I would wish for death rather than hear it again.

Awful!

Ive seen: Jim Davidson (sooooo rude), Michael Jackson x 2, Simply Red, Tina Turner, and Imagination! (it was about 1982) Have met Paul Young, Spandau Ballet, Nik Kershaw, the bloke from the Levis advert, Chris Tarrant, David Jensen, Teddy Sheringham, Ray Clemence and Gary Mabbot. Most were nice - some were not........ :silenced:

I think I'd have been tempted to book to see Jimmy in panto too, could be dire of course, but I bet "Long Haired Lover" gets an outing or 2 and he does seem able to take a joke....I reckon ho could be surprisingly good 8) .

My secret confession....I just bought tickets to see Paul Young in concert in November....all together now "Wherever I lay my hat, that's my hooooome":lol::lol::lol:

Kate, have you booked to see Paul Young or Los Pacaminos the band he fronts now.

If you are going to see Los Pacaminos he dosent sing any of his hits at all.

My OH's band supported them when they played locally to us. We knew what we were in for but there was a lot of very dissapointed people in the audiance who had assumed he would be singing a few of his famous tunes. Los Pacaminos is a cajun band.

If he is playing as Paul Young though you will be ok. Hope you enjoy it.

Oh, i didn't know he fronted another band, I've booked tickets for Paul Young in Rotorua, I'm hoping it's him, sounds like it should be http://www.eventfinder.co.nz/2008/nov/rotorua/paul-young-nz-tour

I WILL sulk if he doesn't sing about where he's laying his hat......in fact I've got a spare bed.....maybe I should email him, my spare bedroom could be his home, for 1 night only :drool:
