After 8 weeks wait, it is nearly here!

I can't wait - despite it pouring rain, flooded garden and no DP around to help me build it!

 

The lovely big run base is nearly finished, just need the delivery of the wood chips and it's all done. The will replace the that is off to be a belated birthday present for my friend's son.

no chance of building it today (or maybe even tomorrow, although i am ITCHING to get going!) because DP is working away and I volunteer a couple of different things on the Wednesday. I would just LOVE a pair of hands to help - I'm not sure I could manage it on my own, particularly whilst toddler-wrangling too, so I'll have to be patient. Ish. I can dream-shop for new chickens instead

With some "help" (well-meant obstruction and absconding with the screwdriver, mostly) I did the first 5 steps last night. I'm at the bit where I need to bolt the ladder to the front but I *really* need someone to hold it while I screw it in so I will need to wait now!

 

It is very cool and I am dead excited.

 

The roosting bars don't seem to fit - they wobble back and forth scross a fulcrum of the middle bit. I'm hoping that's just cos it isn't all assembled and once built it wall all fit nicely together.

Both my sons are Yorkshiremen . They looked at me strange when I asked them in the summer if they were buying a bit of Headingly. Cant have taught them properly what being a Yorkshireman means.
