I do quite a lot of backstage at theatres and work with animals.

Last year I went to a vets about 35 minutes away from me, and spent a few days there. I went back to the vets this week. My mom is a chaperone, so has been at the theatre this week.

Mom said that she met someone backstage that she got talking to who used to work in a vets, and it wasn't for her, so now she's trying backstage work. This is kind of the opposite of what I've done, which is a conincidence in its self.

Yesterday one of the vets nurses who left 2 weeks ago came into the vets and was talking to us all. She said what she'd been doing, and one of the things was backstage work, at the theatre that I've worked at.

I asked her, and it turned out that the person who my mom had spoken to was her! She used to work in the vets that I was at, and I do things backstage at the theatre she went to.

Out of all the vets in Birmingham, and all the theatres, and all the people she could have spoken to, we were all linked.

I thought it was a huge conincidence!! :D

Blimey

I love coincidences & fate.

Best one for me was when I worked in a shop in Henley, a boutique with just the one branch.

I was on a beach in Cofru, looked up & there was a woman with one of our carrier bags :lol:

There was another good one too, something about a phone number, but I am muzzy headed today & can't think what it was

We booked a late deal holiday on the internet last year to a place in Portugal - neither of us had been to Portugal before. When we went for a drive once we'd arrived we drove past a butchers called Blue Rock. Coincidentally that's the name of the butchers at the top of our road at home so we stopped and had a look, only to find the proprietor is the guy who owns the butchers at the top of our road in Bisley who is also the guy who rented out house when we went to Australia in 2002!!

THEN, my OH rang his boss whilst we were out there to find that he ALSO was on holiday in Portugal about 5 miles from us, so they came over for dinner and a play in our pool!

AND many years ago when I was 19 i went to Egypt with two friends, we went in to the Cairo museum, went upstiars to the cafe for some tea only to bump into someone from my friends year at University!!

Love those coincidences!

Got talking to a friend last week who has just returned from a holiday to Mauritius. She got talking to the lady sat across the aisle on the plane - turned out they were both in health care (friend is a nurse tutor, the lady was a GP).

They discovered that they were both from the same city and were going to the same destination. Once there, they accidentally met up again in a church, only to discover that the lady went to the same church as my friends sister in law! (I'm sure there were also other coincidences in the tale, but I forgot them  )

I got chatting to my sons teacher last year when we was at a sports event at another school and I commented... 'ooh I used to go to the primary school just up the road and then I came here after.' She said 'I used to teach up the road'.. I said 'oooh isn't that a coincidence'... wellllll (stay with me) she says 'what was your teachers name?'..... me being little at the time of going to said school and muzzy headed on the day of sport event couldn't remember but said I would know if I heard it.

She reeled off a name of her colleagues.... 'no no no' I said, she then said well my maiden name was... 'Miss ********' I said 'yes yes!!' that was it and we both screamed!!! she said 'I wondered how I knew your face all the time'..

Still makes me giggle now to think my son is being taught in a completely different area of Cambridge to I was and we ended up with the same teacher.. cracking lady as well. :D

Sadly we had a horrible coincidence last year. My daughter was staying with her boyfriend's family, they live in a totally different county and DD met him at uni in Nottingham. She phoned and said that boyfriend's mum was dreadfully upset as a work colleague had been killed in a car crash. Later that day we found out my OH's cousin's girlfriend had also been killed in a car crash. Phoned DD to tell her and it was the same girl. She was beautiful inside and out and a great loss.

Its a bit strange to meet your DD's boyfriend's mum for the first time at a funeral.

Had a happier coincidence when I was younger. Went to Majorca with a friend, we were on the balcony of the hotel when we heard these girls shouting our names. On a balcony opposite were girls from our year of our old school
