bluekarin
I didn't let them out this morning as I needed to go into town with the kids, seeing as they are back to school tomorrow (well two of them are, my ED has a teacher development day so another day off!) and I forgot to get some things they needed. So we get home, and let the ladies out and gave them some mixed corn. I go out to shut them in, as they are very good chooks and put themselves to bed at night (still not sleeping on the perch though) and I find they have spread the flower border all over the lawn! Not just a little scratch like they usually do - they have scratched the entire length of the border out! That's told us then

beach chick
bless their little hearts! I put shale chippings down around the edge of the house last summer, to keep weeds down in the bit between the patio and the house - ooh the girls had fun chucking those everywhere!! Ain't Nobody Here
Mine just love to get onto the driveway and help rearrange all the stones . They also like emptying the flowerbeds onto the lawn or paths .
bluekarin
Well, I raked up the grass, only for it to emptied all over the garden again today! I shall have to get some border edging to try and minimise it. But the cutest thing was after Daisy dug a huge hole, Moonshine and Cocoa were having a dust bath and then sat in the hole together. And then Cocoa was trying to hide her head underneath Moonshines wing! I wanted to get a photo, but didn't want to disturb them by opening the top of our stable door.
