so off i toddle with my pal this afternoon for some retail therapy........and come home to find that oh has blackened the woodburning stove!

 

 

great idea........especially since we've had the paint for about 6 months.......and it needs 24 hours to dry!

I trudged up the stairs last night to enjoy a hot bath only to find every available surface including bath rim and shower curtain rail covered in damp washing. My husband's explanation was that the washing 'wasn't drying' in the spare room (where we have been drying clothes since we moved in 2 years ago) and he genuinely couldn't understand what my problem was. When I suggested he turn up the heater in the spare room to dry the clothes he looked at me as if I were deranged.

If you get a large airer you could put it over the bath and therefore add to the space that you use to dry clothes.

If you remove the wall paper and add a layer of foam wall paper( can not remember what it is correctly called) then re wall paper the spare room will be warm and not require the heating turned up. Keep the curtain closed also helps.

I am all for keeping the heat in.
