Guest
That's the limoncello bottled! It's only made the same way as most of the other fruit schnapps we've done (http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/513100) but it sure tastes much stronger! Just had 1/2 a shot glass and it feels like someone is pushing me down into the chair and I can't get up, I think it packs a heck of a punch but it's nice Wonder why it feels more powerful than the other fruit schnapps we've done? So far this year we've done; strawberry ratafia, simple strawberry wine, raspberry liqueur, rhubarb schnapps, limoncello and pear wine! Anyone fancy a party!??? Blackrocksrock
I think that they look terrific and you are very clever to do all of your bottling, jams etc as well as the hic alcoholic ones. May try this one as looks quite easy to do. I will join the party then! a big snifter for me
Guest
It's all thanks to the girls! This time last year, we'd had the girls for about 5 weeks and we were still revelling in the fact that we had delicious fresh eggs on our own doorstep. Then Ian transformed part of the garden into a mini allotment and we began growing several types of fruit and veg. Then came my foray into getting intimately acquainted with the kitchen (when I was working full time all I did was the washing up as I had neither the time or the energy to do much more!). I've gone from tentatively following simple recipes to just throwing things together and been amazed how well they've turned out! I've picked up loads of recipe ideas and tips from this forum. I'm happier this year than I've ever been (apart from losing my dad) and it's all thanks to the girls as they've really changed my outlook on life. Yes, it's all thanks to my chickens that I have a cupboard full of booze *hic* Can I pour anyone another?

Guest
Yes please the lemoncello looks lovely Karen x I think I might just be able to squirrel a bottle away for you Mrs (Kate, I promise I haven't forgotten you by the way, it's just getting round to finding something to post it in, with it being fragile, but it will be done! )
craftyhunnypie
I made limoncello last year. Still stored away but bottled - so it will be extreme rocket fuel. I wondered why mine is clear yellow though, as yours looks more authentic. You've reminded me about ours, so I'll have to sample it tonight.
