Lesley
A good reason to try and minimise the amount of plastics we buy.

Ain't Nobody Here
Oh my word, that's horrible . I'd not heard of that before . Once again today I was shocked and angry at the amount of plastic and packaging that was dropped in the corridors and in the playground by kids at the secondary school I visit daily. Every day it's cleaned up and every day there's just as much dumped again .
Guest
surely the school has a responsibility to educate the pupils about pollution and rubbish? But then I suppose some kids just don't give a damn If children are our future, I dread to think!
jlo
I try not to be too despondent - a lot of children do think a lot about the future. At my kids' school the geography club has started a big recycling scheme and it does seem to be going well. Small stuff perhaps - but a start! Ain't Nobody Here
Our very small special school does a lot of recycling. We have an eco-committee and have been awarded 2 Eco-Schools Scotland Green Flags. There is very rarely litter lying around. Next door however, is a very large secondary school. They are one award away from a Green Flag but you have to wonder how they even got that far with the amount of litter indoors and out .
