cluckbok
Hi all, Thought you might like to see (laugh) at this video taken of me hosting our most recent hen party. A good friend sneakily shot this without me knowing when I was in full flow showing poeple how easy it is to pick up and hold our demo chicken, "Matilda". Sorry about the terrible Norfolk accent http://www.therubbishdiet.co.uk/ You might have to scroll down the page for while as this site is constantly updated with lots of interesting content. Might be worth browsing around the site while you're there as it's full of useful info. Our friend Karen, person behind the camera and owner of the site, is also writing a book which will be published next year. It will inlcude a piece about keeping chickens, Omlet, Eglus and also a bit about us and our hen parties.
Angels4
Thanks for that. We haven't hen parties here in the States (that I'm aware of) and having the opportunity to watch Graham demo the proper way to hold a chicken has made me relize I've been doing it all wrong. No wonder the girls flap about so.

Snowy
Excellant video demo Cluckbok! It is good to see someone else doing it - I think you learn a lot just by watching someone elses techniques, even if the info given out is the same! And I didn't realise you were male either (sound familiar Mark??)
Guest
I am an alumnus of Cluckbok's Hen Parties and they are good. Haven't managed to get the video to load yet, but looking forward to revisiting Rosie, Matilda and Pecky when it decides to co-operate - and guess what Egluntine, sometimes Cluckbok is a woman too! blackgold
very good, except the bit about just drop them if they struggle...... If you were on a concrete patio etc, wouldn't they break their legs?
Egluntyne
Haven't broken a chicken's leg yet by doing just that. They flap and land happily.
cluckbok
- and guess what Egluntine, sometimes Cluckbok is a woman too! Yes indeed, cluckbok is a husband and wife team and we both post on the forum and run the courses together. Although Mrs Cluckbok is the most active one when it comes to posting on the forum, which probably explains why you all thought of cluckbok as a "she".
