Stupid mobile companies

I got a new phone a couple of months ago on Orange and I chose to use the 'Dolphin' package. This is when you get 300 free texts when you top up £10. The last time I topped up my phone by £10, I didn't get any free texts, just free access to Facebook and Myspace. I have just topped up again and I still dont have any free texts! This is despite the fact that the nice lady from Orange told me over the phone that the problem had been fixed!

Does anybody know if I am able to change networks!? I am sick of Orange and can't be bothered to ring them again, I would only be kept waiting for an hour again.

Thanks

Is your package a pay as you go one? If yes then you should def be able to swap.

Do any of your family have different netwok sims?

If so try one of their sims in your phone and check if it works. If it does then you should just be able to get a sim from one of them and just pop it into your own phone and get going!!

I am in the process of leaving Orange to move to O2 as reception here is rubbish. I got a PAC (Porting Authority Code) from Orange as I want to keep my number and in their covering letter they said "We are sorry blah blah blah .... We believe that our service is flexible enough to meet your needs no matter how they change" even though I had told them that now I am not working and at home all day the lack of signal is a problem. Doubt if their service is flexible enough to put up a new mast just to please me!! Customer Service number they gave was 0800 0790272 which is different to the one that I had when I was trying to get hold of them before and having to spend about half an hour going through umpteen stupid menus to get to speak to someone.:twisted: Might be worth giving it a go but I haven't tried it so might just lead into the same message maze.

O2 sent me 3 progess report emails and a text within hours of ordering my new phone and it arrived in less than 24 hours but when I phoned them about transferring my number the chap I spoke to didn't inspire me with any confidence so I'll have to wait until that is sorted before I decide if they are any better.

Good luck ! :D

Hi Everyone

Make a note of this Web Site .....SAYNOTO0870.COM if someone give you an 0870 or 0845 or you are having "fun" with a mobile phone company you can find a land line 01253 for example normal phone number.

It might help you sort out your problem.

Best regards

Ian

I am with 02 and top up by £10 each month and get 300 free texts, it works for me :D There's no point me paying out for a contract because I really don't spend anymore than that. My OS has the same sim in his phone as well. It's soooooo much cheaper for him to get 300 free texts.:lol:
