smanners
OMG I was so shocked and saddened to see these poor hens at their point of rescue but then so inspired by their remarkable recovery through the care and devotion given by their rescuers Having a spare I have tonight emailed my local BHWT co-ordinator with the aim of rescuing some hens this weekend I know that there may be some fustrations and tears along the way especially when eventually integrating them with my other 6 chooks but hopefully it will be all worthwhile to give some hens a taste of freedom and life as it should be for them. Here's to my New Year's resolution for 2009!!

Happy chickens!
She looks fantastic, well done! My girls are starting to grow feathers and it's good to know that, hopefully, one day they will look like 'real' hens instead of creatures from Jurassic Park.
