laurmurf
hello all from upstate New York, where I can't get enough of my chickens.... I"ve had an email from Alison, as you probably all have, reminding us to bring old clothes/pinny for the course. She also said she's bringing a sausage making machine and we can make (and buy) sausages from her Gloucester Old Spots. it wasn't overly clear whether we were being encouraged to despatch the piggies too! Redwing
I havent had that email but I have had one asking me to send payment as a series of no-shows have meant that Alison is asking for payment up front which is fair enough Perhaps you get the email mentioned above once you have paid and are confirmed as an attendee? Lesley
We haven't had that email - and we go this Sunday! Too many chats about new layers to bring home

moochoo
This is what I received in my e-mail from Alison: "I also need to remind you to bring pinnies if you have them, or old clothes. We will also bring the sausage making with us on the day, which is terrific fun. The cost is £10 for a kilo of sausages made with meat from our own Gloucester Old Spot pigs." Hope you're doing ok over there Laurmurf. Do you think we'll need to change clothes before we go to the coffee shop at the garden centre after? We may look a bit odd if we all turn up covered in ................ whatever . I think I'll bring a big apron and a change of clothes just in case, and see how it goes. My OH is going to be very excited if he hears I'm going to be coming home with a load of sausages too .
Willow
I would take a change of clothes just in case... I did the despatch etc course in Hampshire yesterday. Alison is very good and we were all fine with what we had to do but if you keep pressure on a little to long doing the despatch there can be a bit of splatter. I think us early birds plan to go on a bit of a stroll, weather permitting, not exactly to kill time, but you know what I mean. I have a couple of ideas for the walk, based around the farm.
