carrie
Hi, I have been trying to think of an original gift idea for Valentines for my husband, nothing smutty, but nice, not very expensive. Any ideas?
bluekarin
It is quite difficult to get them things. A couple of years ago I got my hubby a silver coloured heart keyring from John Lewis http://www.thegiftexperience.co.uk/catalogue/two_hearts_keyring/index.html like this but It wasn't this much. The heart was in two pieces so you had half each. I wanted to get him last year some brown sugar in heart shape 'cubes' that you could balance on the side of your cup from a website (can't remember right now - Cox and Cox I think) as he likes brown sugar in his coffee, but they were really expensive so if anyone knows of anywhere who sells this at a not ridiculous price, please let me know! I know it's been shaped, but it is still sugar. http://www.coxandcox.co.uk/products/brown-sugar-hearts I just had a look and it has been reduced by 10% http://www.pinkproducts.co.uk/food_and_drink/heart_shaped_sugar_/499_0c.html these are also cute! kitchens
No Minnie - he's been glued to watching a man jet wash his car for about 3/4 hour What happens in the Simpsons?
Janty
I've bought hubby a solar powered/wind up torch and fm/am radio from Milletts. It's his sort of thing. We can't get dab radio here and a lot of radios can't get am so I know that he will love it. I've also got him a 3-in-1 coat from Craghoppers sale. Minnie the Moocher
Well kitchens, *Minnie walks back in room after disappearing for ages making party bags...grrr* ...Homer buys Marge a bowling ball knowing full well that she will pass it on to him as she doesn't bowl herself. Cheeky tactic oft threatened by my very own OH. Except he would like to change my car for one he would like to drive. I've hidden the log book. Tiggy
my OH has already said that he has got me a lovely pressie, big hint to get something for him but he is so difficult to buy for, he likes films music gagets booze & food, but if he wants something he buys it himself before I get the chance, maybe I should get him something that I like then heart shaped silver keyring sounds like a good idea
Old Speckled Hen
I've got him a simple weather station from Argos (No lidl here) If he likes it I'll get a more complicated version with the outdoor wind and precipitation gizmos for his birthday in May. If he doesn't like it I'll have it I like the idea of getting him more chickens but I suspect that would involve me living with them in the hen house
chickencam
A bottle of champagne? Morrisons have some good offers, I bought a bottle yesterday for £12.99 half price I personally feel that married people have anniversaries for this sort of thing and Valentines day should be for courting couples. This may however be largely because it is my OH's birthday that day and it is hard to find stuff to buy him that isn't over-priced naff or pink
blackgold
I signed for a parcel today addressed to my OH and it is from The Domestic Fowl Trust....I wonder what it is? I have bought him the Ricky Gervais DVD Extras....... Love Sue xxx
