Ah now that blue one would match your new chooks :wink::wink:

Does the Columbine lay blue/green eggs as well?

She should do, *cross fingers*

One of my corton blues layed her first egg today though :dance: she typically did it while I was at work and OH was at home. It is greeny blue with brown speckles. It will be interesting to see what colour they end up as once she is all settled.

Congrats to all you Cubists :D I hope i will be joining you! Just got to save up now. Then comes the hard colour decision!

I kept standing by the cube at Judes yard yesterday when there ( my son and his friend were doing the juniors course), looking and thinking how much easier it would be for me and i think i could sneak another couple of hens in  There's no hope is there

Ah a cube of every colour :roll::roll: and chooks to fill them.

Do you realise that would cost about 4K without runs :!::!:

Mostin, you certainly have started the Corton Blue ball rolling.

I'd like a couple of Old English Pheasant fowl as well. They originate from oop north and can cope with all our rain.

Yes definitely need a cube.

Before I started keeping chickens I thought chickens were chickens BUT it's plain to see now that there's chickens and chickens :P:P

Last time we bought a lottery ticket for one of the huge roll-overs, I told hubby that if we won I would pay off all our friends' mortgages and buy cubes for all the regulars on the forum. He went  .

I also said that I would buy a smallholding in Wales and buy lots of cubes and runs for my collection of cochins, brahmas and pekins that I would be acquiring to keep the others company.

I'm very generous with virtual money.

:D

4K, pah, merely pocket change  , I'm sure I can find that down the back of the sofa.

I am really enjoying my Corton Blue girls, they are trotting around behind me like little dogs now they know me, and crouch at the drop of a hat.:lol:
