brambles
My girls Edna (pepperpot madam) and Obi Hen (chook chook chook) came to live with us about six weeks ago. They've laid almost daily and are excellent company. The consumption of hot chocolate with whipped cream has gone up as we keep warm whilst watching them. My best mate has now got her own eglu with three girls! We are besotted and trying to work out how to increase our flock (cube ... walk in run ... decisions, decisions!). Here are the trainee chicken wranglers:
Ain't Nobody Here
What lovely pictures . You have very goodlooking boys there . And the chickens are lovely too, of course . You've not taken long to get the bug . It's taken me 18 months to decide on a walk in run .
MedusA
Your girls are lovely and have great names (Obi Hen ). They remind me of my first two Omlet girls. Word of warning my original Eglu + 2 hens is now 2 Eglus in a huge walk-in run and 7 hens. I'm now thinking of upgrading to a Cube for the run so I can have 3 more girls. There is no hope once you start chicken-keeping. It is highly addictive. p.s. Your two chicken-wranglers look lovely too.
